Taxi drop-offs after school

In the instance that the parent is not at home on time to meet their child/children and you have not received a phone call from the parent, please call the child’s school to see if you may return them back to the school for the parents to collect or whether the school have any alternative contact points for the parent - please call Multiserve too as we often have additional contact points for parents. As a final course of action, having tried the school and Multiserve, you will need to take the child to the police so that legal custody arrangements can be made - please do not do this until you have contacted Multiserve staff beforehand though.  If you have any additional costs owing to the inability of a parent to meet their child, you may pass them onto the parent(s) concerned - this is a business decision you will need to make and Multiserve will not be involved in collecting the money.

Prior to transport being made available the student needs to have applied for assistance. Once the application has been approved operators are contacted in order to make the most appropriate arrangements.
In the event that a student has a major change in their application (such as change of address or school ) the taxi service must be put on hold until Multiserve receives and processes the new application form. If the taxi company runs the student to school prior to an application being approved , we can not guarantee that we will be able to meet any cost being incurred by the operator.

Multiserve will not accept additional charges for soiling or transporting additional items (such as wheelchairs).

Transport is based on one return trip per day between home or approved Respite to School and School to home or approved Respite.

Student Transport Monitoring Framework

In order to enhance safety standards and management of student transport, a monitoring framework has been introduced. The framework provides a regular opportunity to review safety standards of vehicles and students, route issues, communication issues and any other general matters. Should you have any concerns in these areas, please do not hesitate to contact your regional transport co-ordinator. Please see the link in the right hand column.
